DJ Young was first introduced to pickleball in 2018 at Bobby Riggs Racket and Paddle by Steve Dawson. Young and his father quickly became hooked on the sport and have been playing continuously ever since. Young’s success in pickleball can be attributed to his wrist flexibility, his strategic understanding of the game, and his natural ability to generate power.
Growing up in Burriana, Spain, Young has gone on to win numerous accolades since turning pro, including the World Pickleball Championships, MLP Season 2, and a PPA silver medal in men’s doubles.
His career high world ranking is #10. Despite his success, Young remains humble and focused on improving his game. He is constantly working on his technique, footwork, and mental game, and is always looking for ways to gain an edge on the court. Young is currently sponsored by several companies, including CRBN, Dreamland, and DUPR. His success on the court has made him a sought-after player, and he is respected by his peers and fans alike. As he continues to play and compete, it is clear that he has a bright future ahead of him in the world of pickleball.
