Mota Alhouni

Mota Alhouni was born and raised in Tripoli, Libya and moved to the USA at the age of 17 years old with his brother Mo. He started playing tennis at the age of 7 years old and that’s the reason he moved to the USA to continue his education and play tennis. Alhouni competed at the Australian Open Juniors and played ITF’s growing up. He eventually got recruited by a school in MN called GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS COLLEGE. He played number 1 singles and 1 doubles for them and graduated with 3 time all American tittles. Then he taught tennis at Lifetime Fitness for a year or so before taking on the corporate world. At the beginning of 2023, Alhouni saw people playing pickleball, and one of his friends and brother asked him to play with them a few times. After a few times playing, Alhouni got hooked into the sports. Alhouni has a competitive mentality, that’s his nature.Pickleball gave him a reason to get out of tennis retirement and start competing again at a high level with all these great players. In February 2023, Alhouni entered his first tournament at the Lakeville PPA in Minnesota, winning the 5.0 division. By March, he started traveling more and playing more tournaments and now is ranked amongst the world’s top players. Alhouni’s goal is to be one of the top 5 players in the world. Alhouni’s message to his fans is, “Will see you on the court! ALLEZ!!”
