Helena Jansen

Helena, originally from Palamos, Spain. embarked on her tennis journey at the age of 7, dedicating her life to the sport. With unwavering dedication and determination, achieving a remarkable ranking of 190 in the ITF juniors circuit. In 2019, fueled by her passion for tennis, Helena made the transatlantic leap to the United States to further pursue her athletic aspirations.

Her collegiate tennis career at Appalachian State University was nothing short of stellar. As a standout player, Helena consistently showcased her prowess on the court, earning the prestigious position of number 1. Her remarkable achievements include being awarded Sun Belt Tennis Player of the Week several times throughout 2022-2023, as well as being named All-Conference First Team Singles, and receiving a nomination for the NCAA Women of the Year in 2023.

In addition to her remarkable achievements on the court, Helena is also a scholar of distinction. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with flying colors and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Communication, maintaining exceptional academic performance.

Introduced to the exhilarating world of pickleball in September 2023, Helena’s life took an unexpected turn. What started as a casual pastime quickly blossomed into a fervent passion. Helena immersed herself in the sport, transitioning from casual play to competitive engagement. By February of this year, she was fully committed, culminating in her debut in the PPA pro tour in April 2024.

Much like her on-court presence, Helena’s life is a mosaic of cultural experiences and achievements. Beyond her athletic and academic pursuits, Helena finds solace and joy in exploring new horizons and embracing the simple pleasures of life.
