Meet Erik Lange
Erik Lange has been playing pickleball for 6 years now, he is sponsored by HEAD Penn. Lange has 2 kids, Mia Lange (15 years old), and Evan Lange (12 years old). Lange and his wife Beth Lange have been married for 20 years. Lange went to University of Oregon and graduated with a Sports Marketing Degree
3 Fun Facts about Lange are: His middle name is Bjorn, after Bjorn Borg. His father clearly had racquet sports aspirations for his son. He has never broken a bone in 41 years, very few injuries, only one sprained ankle. Lastly, when traveling, Lange loves to try new restaurants, and going to new places he’s never been to, Lange wants to drive on roads he’s never driven on.
Lange’s favorite shot is when his opponent is expecting a hard put away, but instead he hits a soft misdirect ball that wrongfoots them. Before pickleball, Erik worked in the Racquet Sports Industry for his entire professional career (for Prince Sports prior to HEAD), and then he owned retail tennis stores on the West Coast. Lange’s biggest strengths on the court include his length, reach, and power.

Lange’s favorite drilling partner is his son, Evan. Whether it’s in our garage, the street, or a real court. Lange is a big family man, he loves taking his wife and 2 kids on as many travel adventures as possible. Some other important people in Lange’s life are his senior Pro Travis Rood is his pickleball coach. He is the man in the background, who helps Lange see things he wouldn’t otherwise notice, and is continually adding to his game. Lange says he “would not be near the player I am without him.”
