The MUNICIPAL Celebrity Pickleball Showdown returns to the 2026 Opendoor Pickleball World Championships, with actor and entrepreneur Mark Wahlberg leading a star-studded lineup of celebrities and sports personalities set to take the court alongside the Carvana PPA Tour's top pickleball pros. The marquee event will take place on Powerball Championship Court at Brookhaven Country Club on Thursday, November 5, at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on Tennis Channel.
Known for blockbuster films such as The Fighter, Boogie Nights and The Departed, hit television projects like Entourage and Boardwalk Empire, and a growing business empire where he holds a stake in prominent companies including Flecha Azul Tequila and title sponsor MUNICIPAL, Wahlberg will take the court in what promises to be one of the most entertaining nights of the week-long Opendoor Pickleball World Championships.
