The Golden Girl:

Anna Leigh Waters’ 47 medals this year were all gold medals. She did not win gold only four times: Mixed Doubles at the Arizona Grand Slam (L), and Singles at the Florida Open (L), Takeya Showcase (L), and Hertz Gold Cup (withdrew). Waters was undefeated in Women’s Doubles. 

The Century Mark:

Ben Johns earned his 100th career PPA title, winning the Men’s Doubles Final (with Collin Johns) at the Cincinnati Open. Johns won more than 10 titles in each of the three disciplines, (Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles,) in 2023.
