Meet Jackie Kawamoto

Jackie Kawamoto, born and raised in Maui, Hawaii and then later moved to Indianapolis in 2004. She was introduced to the sport of pickleball through her dad, he discovered it at a local rec center and chose to bring Jackie along to play. Jackie attended the University of Dayton as a student athlete with a biology major. 

Her previous tennis background helped her learn the game quickly; and now her greatest strength is her defense. Jackie still currently works full-time for the NCAA, but loves playing professional pickleball and hopes to do it for as long as she can. She loves the competitive aspect but also appreciates  the social aspect of the game, and enjoys being involved in pickleball events within her community. She has hosted tournaments in her local area and hopes to do more teaching in the future.
