  • Gordie Dover says:

Hi There, I purchased tickets for sunday lakeway TX and cant be there…………how do i cancel and get refund

  • Nitro says:

Where can I find the hour-by-hour schedule for Sunday March 19th in Lakeway?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Nitro! We won’t release the Championship Sunday schedule until March 18th (after the main draws for each event have been completed) because we don’t want the same pros having to play back-to-back-to-back matches if they end up qualifying for the Championship in multiple events. With that being said, Championship Sunday will start @ 10:00am CT and typically ends around 4:00pm CT.

  • Jennifer Gieseke says:

We’re planning to attend the Austin tournament, before we purchase our tickets we had questions about the different categories. What is the difference between the “guaranteed” seat and the “reserved” seat at the matches? What is the lunch and beverage options that are included with the VIP ticket (does it include special diets, i.e. vegan)?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Jennifer! A courtside ticket provides access to bleacher seating on Championship Court. Courtside seating is open seating, not assigned. A VIP ticket provides access to the VIP lounge where seats are reserved for VIP guests. Lunch is catered to the VIP lounge in addition to an assortment of snacks and drinks, including beer and hard seltzer. Special diets will be accommodated.

  • Q Nguyen says:

What time will the amateur matches start? if we enroll in the amateur ones, we risk not being able to watch the pros play on the same day, right?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Q! Amateur matches typically start around 8:00am local time each day of the tournament. We don’t release the exact start times for each event until after registration closes because the start times depend on how many players register for each event. Once the tournament schedule is finalized (around March 9th), you will receive and e-mail with the exact start time of your event + you will be able to access it by clicking on the “Schedule” tab at https://www.pickleballtournaments.com/tournamentinfo.pl?tid=7386

And yes, it is possible that your event matches will be played at the same time as professional matches.

  • Kim Young says:

Maxwell, I was charged $130 when I registered for mixed doubles and just now charged $170 when signed up for women’s doubles. Both partners paid their own fees so how do I get that $130 credited?
    Thx,
    Kim

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Kim! I’ve sent your contact information to our tournament operations team and will have them issue a refund for the extra registration fee and event fee that you paid. 😁 Now you just need to sign up for women’s singles so you can take home the triple crown! 🏆🏆🏆

  • GINA says:

Interested in volunteering for Austin PPA event but do not see where to submit info.
    Thank you

  • Sylvia says:

Is there a FAQ for visitors anywhere? We have court side seating for Sunday. Is this bleacher seating? Should we be bringing chairs? Can we bring a cooler or anything else into the grounds? Water? Food? Backpack? What kind of food is available onsite? Is there a list anywhere of what will be available? Is there a phone number to call for questions? Ticket says no re- entry – we cannot leave for lunch and come back? Is there any restrictions on what we can bring onsite? No re-entry – does that mean we cannot go to our vehicle once on premises?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Sylvia! There isn’t an FAQ for visitors, but I’m happy to answer any questions that you have. Courtside seating is bleacher seating, and you are welcome to bring bleacher cushions/chairs. You can bring your own cooler and/or backpacks with drinks and food. Water and refill stations will be available on-site. Elevation Athletic Club will be offering food for purchase at this tournament; our Tournament Director has reached out to the facility for a menu and I will send that over to you as soon as we have it. There is not a phone number for questions, but there will be an Information Desk available on-site to answer any questions that you have while you are at the tournament. As for re-entry, the tickets say “no re-entry” because the QR code cannot be scanned more than once, but after you check in, you will be given a colored wristband that will allow you to leave and re-enter the event grounds. In other words, if you are wearing the wristband provided to you at the gate, you can leave for lunch and come back and/or go to your vehicle on premises.

      • Sylvia Delino says:

Thanks so much! That pretty much gives me what I need to know.

I guess the only other question I might have is there a fee for parking?

        • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Sylvia! I’ve been told by our Tournament Operations Team that we will not charge for parking or for our shuttle from Lakeway Elementary School. 😁

      • Brian says:

Great info that I have spent much of my morning looking for. Please consider sending an FAQ to those who purchased tickets

        • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Brian! Thank you for the feedback. What is the main information that you have been looking for? I’ll relay your feedback to our e-mail marketer. 😁

  • Michelle Croasdale says:

Hi! I’m trying to find out more information on the clinics. My husband and I would like to participate in a clinic… what are the dates and times? How many participate in the clinic and how do I register for that?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Michelle! When you go to https://www.tixr.com/groups/ppa/events/ppa-austin-showdown-55636?col=4498&a=L you should see a list of all of the clinics and events that we will be hosting at this tournament: Kings Court 3.0-3.5; Kings Court 4.0+; Round Robin 3.0-3.5; Round Robin 4.0+; and Strategy Clinic with a Pro. When you click on any one of these, it will open up a “More Info” page with the date and time for the clinic/event that you clicked on. Once you’ve decided which clinic/event you want to participate in, just click “Add to Cart” and proceed to checkout. Let me know if you have any additional questions and I’ll be happy to help. 😁

  • Lori Burkheimer says:

I put in the wrong email address after purchasing tickets. How do I change my email?

  • Steve says:

I see Saturday starts at 10am, what time does it run until? Also is alcohol available for purchase 😜

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hey, Steve! Typically the last pro matches that are played on Saturday are the bronze medal matches and they usually end between 7:00pm-9:00pm local time. And yes, alcohol will be available for purchase. I’ve reached out to our Tournament Operations Team to see what alcohol will be available and will update my response as soon as I have a menu from them. 😁

  • Debby Abitz says:

I’m participating in the tournament and staying within short driving distance. Where can I learn about the parking area locations and/or shuttle bus locations?? Is there a parking fee?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Debby! There are 200+ parking spots available to registered players and spectators at Serene Elementary School, which is across the street from the venue. If that lot overflows, parking will be available at Lakeway Elementary School, about 2 miles away. We will have a shuttle available at Lakeway Elementary School that players and spectators can ride for free. 😁

  • Bev says:

Are there bike racks on the event grounds?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Bev! I just called Elevation Athletic Club and spoke with Susan at the front desk. She said that they have a bike rack at the front of the facility. 😁

  • suzanne m musick says:

I purchased spectator tickets for Friday, 17th (2) and Sunday, 19th (3) and have not recived an email withthem. I did take a photo confirmation of one of the days but not the other. Thanks in advance. I am entered in mxd amateur Sunday play.

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Suzanne! It looks like you had a typo in the e-mail address that you entered. I’ve corrected the typo and resent your tickets. Did you receive them?

  • Suzanne says:

Are there bleachers for every court or only for the center court? Where can I find the schedule of which pros play on which court and at what time on Friday?
    Thanks

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Suzanne! There are bleachers in front of 7 other courts aside from Championship Court. All of the brackets are posted on the home page of ppatour.com and will be updated with court assignments as they are assigned. Most of the pro matches will be played on Championship Court (Court #CCA) and Grandstand Court (Court #GSB).

  • Charles Dixon says:

Approximately when will the court set up be completed. I would like to know when players can practice on the courts.
    Thanks!
    Charles (Chuck) Dixon

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Charles! We do not have any courts dedicated for amateurs to warm up/practice on. However, if a match finishes and a court is empty, you can warm up/practice until the next game is assigned to that court. You will also have 6 minutes to warm up before each match during the tournament.

  • Darlene says:

Hi! Where can we get updates on todays event with the weather delaying the start?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Darlene! If you are a registered player or have purchased spectator tickets, you should get updates via e-mail. If you are just planning on watching the broadcast from home, the best place would be our Facebook or Instagram accounts. 😁

  • adam says:

    Austin event not televised?

  • Barbara says:

Is there a schedule for Friday’s games?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Barbara! The schedule for tomorrow is the Mixed Doubles bracket that’s on the home page of https://www.ppatour.com. If you are in-person at the event, we will be updating that bracket with which courts the matches will be played on and you can use the site map above to find where each court is located so you can watch whichever matches you are most interested in.

      • Barbara says:

Thank you, Maxwell. I will be there in person. I see the mixed doubles bracket on the home page but I want to know the times for each match listed on the mixed doubles bracket. Will the time for each match be listed on the bracket when you update the court where each match will be played?

  • Kait says:

Hi, where can we find updates for weather delays? Will pro matches be moved to Dreamland again if the courts are wet this AM?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Kait! The best place is on our Twitter page or by reaching out and commenting on our landing page here. 😁 And yes, pro matches will most likely be moved to Dreamland again if it’s rainy/wet this AM so that we can make sure we can get through all of the matches that need to be played in the pro draw.

  • Melissa Faver says:

When will venue change be announced for today, Friday, March 17?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hi, Melissa! As of right now, we are planning on starting pro matches at 11:00am CT at the original location: Elevation Athletic Club in Lakeway, TX.

  • Lee says:

Has a decision been made on where the pro matches will take place this morning?

  • Nancy Clein Tafoya says:

    What is the Twitter handle

  • Isaac Almack says:

    Will this be broadcasted?

  • Tim says:

Where are people supposed to park? What is the shuttle schedule? Why is there no signage anywhere? Mega yikes, y’all.

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hey, Tim! Today (Friday, March 17th) there is free parking at Lakeway Elementary School and a free shuttle that is taking spectators/players to the venue. If that lot is full, you can park at the Emmaus Catholic Church across the street and walk over to the Lakeway Elementary School parking lot to take the shuttle to the venue.

Tomorrow (Saturday, March 18th) and Sunday (March 19th) you can park at Serene Hills Elementary School and Lakeway Elementary School. There will not be a shuttle at Serene Elementary School since it is across the street from the venue, but there will be a shuttle from Lakeway Elementary School again.

  • Are there any social events happening during the tournament?

  • Rosemary Crossfield says:

How can I see a schedule of when Ben johns Tyson McGuffin ect are playing

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hey, Rosemary! Matches are not assigned by time, they are assigned by court availability so you’ll need to watch the bracket on the home page of ppatour.com and see when Ben Johns and Tyson McGuffin’s matches have been assigned a court.

  • Phil Warner says:

I bought tickets and can’t find time schedules for Saturday matches. Need times please with the brackets. I know it begins at 10am but who is playing at 10am?

    • Maxwell Hill says:

Hey, Phil! The first-round matches will follow the Men’s and Women’s Doubles bracket on the home page of ppatour.com.

  • Nick says:

What’s the schedule for the junior events this weekend? I don’t see any information about them on the website.

  • David W. says:

What is the schedule for tomorrow’s mixed doubles 50+ event. We are signed up to play, but I have not received any information on timing and schedules for tomorrow. I have my phone number in there as my tax number, but still have not received anything?

    Let us know, thank you.

    David
